Big Game Rifles - your "go to" guns! These rifles will get used the most, and probably be asked to do the most.
They will cover a ton of ground, so should be built for the long haul.Deer and antelope, sheep, elk, moose, bears, not to mention plains game in Africa. This is the rifle that will get used the most, and probably be asked to do the most. Our Custom High Country, Custom High Country Take Down, Pro Hunter, or Pro Hunter Elite rifles were all designed with this purpose in mind. Again the "how I build a rifle for myself" section covers a number of personal choices on caliber. Remember, these rifles are built to your specifications. We will never try to make you "fit" into one of our rifles. The rifle should fit with what you need, not the other way around. You might really need two rifles to cover everything here. A lighter, smaller caliber rifle to handle sheep, goats, and high country mule deer (maybe a .270 Win., .280 Rem. or 7mm Rem. Mag.) and then something to handle the bigger, heavier boned animals such as moose, elk, or African plains game. Something in the .300 or .338 range works well here.
